The Biden administration plans to push ahead with more than $1 billion in weapons deals for Israel, U.S. officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter told The Washington Post, despite withholding a shipment of bombs this month due to concerns over Israel’s plans for a major offensive in Rafah. The European Union’s top diplomat urged Israel to “immediately” end its operation in the southern Gaza city.
